If you are ever looking for someone to sublet...


Stumbled upon this image and fell in love with the serene color palette. I could move in here. Only problem is Erin Fetherston will need to move out...maybe she'll need someone to sublet at some point. I would keep pretty much keep everything intact and many add a really soft throw blanket in the same color as her dress and lose the sheep. Aside from that, the work is done!

Since I now have to dash out the door I thought I would put this up as a little burst of color fabulousness on a dreary day here where I live. Rain today. Rain tomorrow. Book It!

As I was perusing through the September issue of Coastal Living I stumbled upon the spread on the redesign of The Dunmore on Harbour Island in the Bahamas. Love it!!! Including the fact that fabrics from Quadrille are scattered throughout. Who could not like that? And the salmon and turquoise colors? This hotel is calling me...seriously

...and if I were to go, I would wear something like this:

Sweet Home Alabama Chanin

I know, I know...the title is a little cheesy, but it was the best I could think of on the fly...gotta head out the door. Now that I have addressed that, on to better things...

I have been totally obsessed with Alabama Chanin lately! I love the tonal simplicity of color combined with the elaborate and detailed handiwork that goes into the pieces. I would love to add a piece to my wardrobe. I better start saving...

Feeling Blue

Just a few lovely images of textiles using indigo dye, an ancient organic dye that results in beautifully deep blue colors.

The piece at the top will be in the upcoming exhibition, Fiber Futures: Japan's Textile Pioneers, at Japan Society New York which opens next Friday, September 16.
