Serenity in the Hamptons...

As I was meandering around on the computer this morning I stumbled upon this adorable home in the Hamptons that belongs to Sue Devitt, makeup artist/entrepreneur- sorry, she does not appear to have her own site, but her makeup is sold at Barneys and various other places - on Cottages & Gardens.

She painted the brick exterior of her 1940s home white. I would totally do the same thing. Freshens it up and makes in more cottagey feeling.

She converted her garage into a home office. From the outside it looks darling. I could get a lot of work done out there.

Love the white upholstered furniture with the more primitive feeling pieces. Those large windows make it feel so open and airy.

A bathroom that leads out to the garden? How divine? Love the marble tiles ins the shower and the long linen drapes.

Great cabinetry in the kitchen. I love the combination of dark countertops and wood floors with white cabinets. Nice contrast, yet, it still feels so open and bright.

The pièce de résistance: this AMAZING meditation room.
