See the thread?

I know, I has been a while. Some things were going on at home, but I do not want to bore you with. What I can say is that things are looking good and it involves my dog, Cleo. She is on the mend and we are thrilled.

To recalibrate I thought I would connect this post to the last post highlighting Oscar de la Renta's Shibori gown by sharing this wallpaper that I am totally obsessed with. OBSESSED: Elitis' Geisha. G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S. It looks like Arashi, a shibori technique which I love. Shibori is a traditional Japanese dye resist technique that involves binding, pleating, stitching, etc. Arashi is a form of Shibori where fabric is wrapped and twisted around a pole and then submerged in dye. Only the areas of fabric that are exposed to the dye take on the color while the other areas remain the original color of the fabric (usually white or natural). It looks like water and is so beautiful.

I am dying to use it somewhere, but I am thinking more along the lines of the indigo color. I think it would be awesome in a powder room or a walk-in closet. A swatch of it has a prominent place on the bulletin board in my studio.

I see a future for the two of us.
